Manchester: SKF(Salman Khan films) will be launching ”Pranutan Behl” and ”Zaheer Iqbal” in the upcoming film, titled Notebook. The film will be releasing worldwide on March 29, 2019.
Salman Khan is known as the Godfather in Bollywood for introducing New Actors, Singers and Composers. Salman has previously launched fresh faces such as Sooraj Pancholi, Athiya Shetty, Warina Hussain and his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma.
The lead role ”Kabir”played by Zaheer Iqbal in the film is of an Ex army officer who took up teaching job in a remote area of Kashmir( Wullar Lake). While teaching to his students he finds a notebook left behind by the previous teacher Firdaus ( Pranutan Bahl) and that changes his entire life as he falls in love with a person which he has never met. Pranutan is late actor Nutan’s granddaughter and actor Mohnish Bahl’s daughter, she is playing Firdaus in the film.
Speaking exclusively to this Correspondent,Zaheer said, ”Its like dream come true for me, I am playing a teacher in the film, working with kids was a great experience. Notebook is full of emotions and I love doing emotional scenes, my favourite moment in the film is imran( Child Charachter) and myself hugging and crying, the scene is so powerful that I started crying for real.”

Referring to a question about working with Nitin Kakar, Zaheer said, ”Nitin is very humble director, we learnt a lot working from him, I would say he has two personalities one at the sets and one off the set, Locations, songs, script and performances in this film will certainly make you fan of Nitin Kakar.”
Pranutan Bahl, who is also making her film debut in this film said, “I am very excited about this film, every moment of this film is so special to me, from costumes to locations, from songs to script this film will take you to a tale of unique love story, a story which you will remember for years, the kids in the film have done some amazing acting, Zaheer and I have thoroughly enjoyed working in this film and learnt alot from Nitin Sir. The costumes in the film were designed by Zaheer’s Sister. This film is for every one, no matter what age group you are you will love this film.
Referring to a question that, was there any pressure on her as her Gran( Nautan) and her father ( Manish Bahl) being in the industry for years, Pranutan said,” it’s always hard if you come from a Filmy background as people expect more from you but I knew I had to carry this legacy, but at no point I was under pressure”.
Talking about her journey, Pranutan told this scribe, “Notebook was a self discovery journey for me. I learnt a lot from my co stars and I believe that no matter how much you prepare , being on the set is very different.”
Salman Khan Films is producing the film along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios. Notebook is directed by Nitin Kakkar. Nitin debuted as a director with Filmistan, which was moderately successful. This was followed by Mitron in 2018, which failed to make a mark critically and commercially.
