Manchester: Qawwali Legends. Nephews of the great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rizwan and Muazzam rocked Leeds Town Hall and it won’t be an exaggeration if we said that it was one of the best Asian music concerts Leeds has ever witnessed.

Packed Leeds Town Hall and the sold-out show on Thursday, March 23, was evidence of the popularity of the Qawwali Legends who have a huge fan base not only amongst the Pakistani, Indian community but music lovers of different communities and countries.

Members of the audience were cheering throughout the evening while Rizwan and Muazzam sang some of their and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s most popular Numbers and qawwalis one after another.

Speaking exclusively to this correspondent just before the Event Muazzam Ali Khan said,” Artists are Ambassadors of peace and love, Qawwali is art of Suffiyah, the revival of Qawwali is very encouraging but this art was never declining and will never die. Qawwali and Music unites each other, we want to break social barriers by playing and performing Qawwali in front of different communities and spread that message.”

“I believe that Qawwali is linked to your soul, as Qawwali is Sufi Music, so when ever your soul is happy you will be happy” says Rizwan Ali Khan

“We try to reach out to new audiences no matter what colour or faith they are. Our message was and will always be peace and love. Not only do we want to give this message to our audience but we want them to carry this message and spread it amongst other communities too”. He added
