Wonder Woman 1984 is £15.99 to rent in the UK from 13th January

Wonder Woman 1984 lands on premium video on demand in the UK, costing £15.99 for a 48 hour rental.

Following a brief cinema release window that was curtailed when cinemas shut anyway, Wonder Woman 1984 has arrived on premium video on demand today in the UK.

Yet it come with a bit of a price tag.

Whilst the film is part of the HBO Max streaming package in the US, a service on which it landed back at Christmas, it doesn’t operate in the UK. As such, Warner Bros has sent Wonder Woman 1984 to services such as iTunes, Sky Store and Amazon Prime over here.

Mind you, it’s at the higher end when it comes to pricing. Whilst we’re not quite at the level of Disney’s Mulan (£19.99 plus a Disney+ subscription when that originally debuted, with permanent access to the film), Wonder Woman 1984 will cost you £15.99 for a 48 hour digital rental.

The film is expected to get a physical media release later in the year, and a price drop then too. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
