“Band Vaaje” is message of Love and Peace: Jaswinder Bhalla

Manchester: Punjabi Film “ Band Vaaje” collected more than 4.05 CR INR over the weekend. The film is about an Indian boy and a Pakistani girl who fall in love.

The story revolves around restaurant owners Jeet and Inder, who are brothers that live together. While Jeet is married, Inder is still looking for a bride for himself. The family is headed by their grandmother who is anti Pakistanis and harsh in nature. The entire film is based around the journey of Inder from being single to finding his true love, who, he later finds out, is Pakistani. How the whole story unfolds and in the end how the Indo-Pak wedding alliance takes place is what this film showcases.

Jaswinder Bhalla played Mr Bajwa in the film, while talking exclusively to Radio Sangam, He said,” Band Vaaje is a very different film, it was shot at different locations in Birmingham. The film has a very unique story line as it promotes love and peace between Pakistan and India. We wanted to give a positive message that we are all the same, laughter and comedy can unite us.”

Referring to a question about his favourite character and dialogue in the film, he said,” I have got positive reviews from people in the UK, they loved “Dady, Dady Dialogue” from this film, Malkit Singh Track in this film is also a treat to watch and dance”.

Answering a Question about his Real life, he said,” I was working in the Agriculture department, I started acting as a hobby but the love I have got from my fans worldwide is overwhelming. My real life is very different to Pollywood. I am grateful to all those who are supporting Punjabi cinema as this will surely promote our traditions and culture worldwide”.

Band Vaaje film star cast includes Binnu Dhillon and Mandy Takhar in leading roles. Gurpreet Ghugi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Smeep Kang, Nirmal Rishi, Rupinder Rupi, Seema Kaushal, Mannat Singh, Reet Sohal and others in supporting roles. Film is co produced by Jatinder Shah,Pooja Gujral, Atul Bhalla and Amit Bhalla. Smeep Kang is the director of this film. Film was released on 15 March 2019 worldwide through Om Jee films. Team Sangam was at the filming of this movie and after watching it commented that the laughter from the auditorium showed how comedy can break down barriers.
